There has been an uproar, of sorts, amongst some journalists about the lack of diversity in the Overwatch League. Their main concern is that there is not a single female player in the Overwatch league. However, the fact remains that female players themselves believe that the game should be played on merit and teams choices should be based on merit instead of trying to reserve spots for females.
