After putting pressure via Social Media, the players have finally received their money for the Overwatch Contenders Trial Season 1. Blizzard recently came under fire for the inordinate delay in paying out prize money for their official tournaments. The prize money for OWWC 2016 was paid out in December 2017, a delay of more than a year.
