Most of the CSGO tournaments have open qualifiers. This provides a good chance for most of the teams to try out their luck and participate in the tournament. However there are several instances when well established teams are eliminated in the group stage. Most of the qualifiers are usually Best of Oneś in order to compensate for the time. This results in unusual results many times.
Should some higher ranked teams been instead invited to a Day 2 closed qualifier for @EL?

A suggestion from Heather says that we should invite higher ranked teams directly to Day 2. This would ensure the best interests for the higher ranked teams who have repeatedly proved themselves on the international stage.
