Amazon has been named as the naming partner of Riot Games’ League of Legends European Masters tournament for the Summer 2021 event and the 2022 season.

Good news for those who love League of Legends as Amazon is now sponsoring an official tournament. The partnership between European Masters and Amazon has been revealed as the naming partner as it will take place in Europe this year. Next year, 2020, Riot Games is to expand its North American Challenger Series to include Europe.
Following the announcement of the European Masters, Riot Games has now released an update that confirms that European teams will now go head-to-head with North American Challenger Series teams to determine the open winners.
The multi-city competition will consist of 16 teams for each team format. The two winners will be rewarded with spots in the Riot Games’ 2019 League of Legends World Championship, which will take place in Korea this October.
The League of Legends 2019 European Masters tournament is set to run at multiple venues across Europe over five days, featuring three stages – online qualifiers, online qualifiers, offline semifinals, and final matches are expected to be held at home stadiums.
Amazon has been supporting Riot Games for the longest time, which prompted an interest in this league. “We’re excited to be working with a tournament-experienced partner like Amazon as we take the next step in the evolution of the EU LCS,” said Jarred Kennedy, EU LCS Project Lead. “Together, we are working on building an experience that will celebrate not only Europe’s highest level of League of Legends play but also deliver more entertainment and spectating opportunities for fans.”
Amazon is now joining forces with Riot Games to provide more viewing opportunities for all European Masters viewers. This will give them a chance to watch all two seasons of the League of Legends Championship Series (EU LCS) and enjoy some exciting games.
