Optic Gaming withdraw from the Galaxy Battles 2 tournament to be held in Philippines. The first Major of 2018, would have seen the best teams in the world compete against each other. However after refusing assurances from the government regarding the safety of the players, Valve decided to rescind the Major status for the tournament.
Following this decision by Valve and the fact that there was no way for them to guarantee the safety of the Optic Players, the organization has decided to withdraw their team from the tournament.
Due to the recent decision from Valve and after many conversations with our team, we have decided that the OpTic Dota 2 team will not be participating in the upcoming Galaxy Battles event in the Philippines.
