PUBG has been gaining ground as one of the most promising games in 2017. The number of players playing the game has seen a meteoric rise and several teams and organisations are looking at the scene with interest.
ESL along with Bluehole have announced the PUBG Invitational which will take place from August 23-26 at Cologne, Germany.
The tournament will feature a staggering $350,000 in prize pool. This is comparable to the biggest esports titles in CSGO, Dota2 etc.
“From very early on we knew that the success of PUBG was reliant on the passion of its community. We want to celebrate this by inviting eighty of the top players from around the world to compete in the first offline invitational,” said Chang Han Kim, VP and Executive Producer at Bluehole Inc. “It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how quickly our community has grown, and can’t wait to hear about everyone’s experience this summer.”
