WESG announce their 2018-19 season, the Global LAN Finals will be held in March

The WESG tournament is one of the outliers in professional Counter-Strike. The tournaments’ has some of the biggest prize pools in Counter-Strike, yet it is mostly won by low-level teams and teams that are not in the Top 5. A big part of this is because of the location of the LAN Finals, which is held in Asia.

Malaysia has announced the 2018-19 season during a press conference at Sepang, Malaysia. The tournament format will pretty much remain similar, sort of like the Olympics of CSGO. The total prize pool of the tournament, including Dota2, CSGO, and Starcraft is $5.5 million.
