The ESL Pro League Finals had a different format wherein we saw the twelve teams being divided into two groups. Each group had six teams each and as such the event format was eagerly watched by many. With several recent tournaments coming under criticism for their formats, ESL Pro League’s unique league based format was definitely worth a try.

Pimp had already come out with his prediction of what could go wrong with the format. However he points out to the high risk high reward style of the tournament format, wherein if the stronger teams actually win out their matches the entire playoff would be really amazing to experience and watch.
