Now let’s talk a little about the best teams within the competition.

The Horizon Cup, held back in November 2021, was the first global event for WildRift Esports, the event was conquered by Chinese team DKG. However Only three teams (KT Rolster, Sengoku, and Team Queso) that competed in the previous Horizon Cup were able to come back once again to the Icons Championship.

Fun Plus Phoenix qualified for the event by stomping the WRL 2022 Season 1 tournament. The team is definitely one of the top contenders for the Icon trophy. Team Flash and Team Queso have been performing well in the past few months. KL Rolster and Sengoku, who were in fourth and sixth place respectively back in the Horizon Cup, will try to push and win their first global trophy.

Lastly the underdogs Nova Esports, a well known organization in PUBG Mobile Esports, will hope to dominate in the WildRift scene as well. The northamerican team Sentinels entered the Wild Rift scene in August 2021, the team qualified for the play-ins by securing second place in the North America Series 2022 Season 1. Lastly T1, a popular esports organization worldwide, will also be participating.
