Thus, ever since the conclusion of the MSI 2022, there has been some speculation and fans have been eagerly waiting to learn about all the information regarding the League of Legends 2022 LEC Summer Split.

Thankfully, fans will not have to wait any longer as Riot Games has officially announced the starting date for the Summer Split. The teams participating are also known as there will not be any changes from the Spring Split, as the LEC is managed with a franchise system. Of course most likely, the only thing that can change are the teams’ rosters. As of now, there have been a few official confirmations regarding roster changes, but others might happen in the coming last couple of days.

League of Legends 2022 LEC Summer Split Teams

The League of Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split is set to begin on June 17th. The participating teams are:

-G2 Esports

-MAD Lions

-Misfits Gaming

-SK Gaming

-Team Vitality

-Team BDS

We will have the Super Week format for the first week of games, which means fans will witness some high profile clashes plus much more games than usual. Everyone is mainly expecting G2 Esports to continue dominating after a massive victory in the Spring Split.

As for possible contenders we can definitely look at Rogue, Team Vitality, and Fnatic as they will probably be more prepared to take on the challenge this time around.

The Summer Split of the League of Legends LEC is often the one that draws the most attention from fans. As by now viewers expect a higher level of gameplay after the teams had time to know each other’s pace on the previous split. After spending almost four to five months together, they get to know their teammates very well, which helps improve their gameplay by quite a big margin. Is important to remember that the Summer Split is the competition that awards the invitation towards the biggest stage of them all “Worlds”. Thus we expect all the included teams to come with their A game straight out of the gate.

Finally, in regards the top teams, mainly G2 Esports, Rogue, and Fnatic, seem unchanged in terms of roster changes. MAD Lions have brought in Nisqy as a replacement for Reeker in the midlane, while Misfits Gaming replaced Hirit in the toplane with Irrelevant.
