The Esport Magazine of the Future – Fragster.com

Fragster is a free and open source tool for sharing game sessions on the web. It was created by Xaero, the team behind the popular FragChat IRC client and is now maintained by the Xaero-FragClan. The project has been used by both gamers and non-gamers alike to connect and play video games online. It’s been an exciting time for the Fragster project, and we thought it’d be a good idea to provide a recap of what it’s been like in 2017.

In this post, we’ll look back at the highlights of the year’s releases, discuss what’s coming up in 2018, and share our thoughts on where Fragster is heading in the future.

What is Fragster?

For those who don’t know, Fragster is a free and open source tool for sharing game sessions on the web.

Fragster’s First Year

2017 was a big year for Fragster. The first release of Fragster was in February, and since then we’ve seen it go from strength to strength. New features, new integrations, and new contributors have all contributed to the growth of the project, and we hope that we’ll be seeing even more in the new year.

We’ve also been celebrating the growth of the community. More and more people are using Fragster every day and we’re proud to see that the project has become a fixture in the lives of many gamers.

Fragster 2.0

We’ve long been fans of open source projects being able to keep up with new developments through their Github releases, and we’re thrilled to finally be able to offer this to Fragster users. Every two weeks, we will release new features into the Fragster github repository. Users of the project will be able to keep up to date with all of the latest changes to the tool. This will allow us to quickly address any issues or requests that come through the community while also ensuring that the tool is running on the current version of the platform. This is a big deal for us, as we feel that it’s important to keep the project’s codebase as open as possible. We hope that our regular releases will help to foster an even more collaborative community around the project, and we’re excited to see what features other developers could come up with as we continue to push forwards.

Fragster’s Future

We’ve been incredibly happy to see the growth of the community around Fragster, however this growth has come with its fair share of challenges. One of the most important things for us moving forward is to make sure that we have a clear vision for where we want the project to go, and what we want to focus on. We think that it’s important to have an overarching goal for any open source project, and this is something that we’re actively considering for the future of Fragster. As well as looking to the future, we want to make sure that we continue to keep the community at the heart of everything that we do, and provide regular updates and news on the project. We want to do this by creating more educational content, such as tutorials and guides, and we want to reach out to the wider gaming community, especially those who aren’t as involved in the gaming community, and make sure that they are aware of the benefits of using Fragster.

Final Words

Fragster has been an incredible journey for us as a team, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of the Fragsters community. We hope that this has been a fun ride for you, and we hope that you’ve enjoyed reading about the year that was for Fragster. We’re excited to see what the future holds, and we’re looking forward to sharing our plans with you all in the near future.

We’d like to thank everyone who has contributed to the project this year, as well as everyone who has joined the project in the last 12 months. We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone does in the new year and hope that you all have an excellent 2018.
