Weplay announced rocket tournament with $100,000 prize pool

Esports Tournament organizer and media holding company WePlay Holding has made an announcement about its first Rocket League Tournament which is WePlay Esports Invitational.

The tournament will be held on 16TH September, and there will be participating 16 teams from the Middle East, North America and Europe and they will be competing for the prize pool of $100,000(~£72,600).

The names of some teams participating include Team Vitality, The General NRG, Guild Esports, Sandrock Gaming, and Team BDS among others.

Esports Head at WePlay Esports, Eugene Luchianenco, said: ”Our intention is not to stop creating and developing new areas and titles of work. The waves   has been made by Rocket League among the esports community.

It is believed by the Esports Head at WePlay that the tournament will amaze the lovers of the game with what the team store holds.

There will be from the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, eight teams and eight from North America, eight teams that will be featured in the event. Teams from these different regions will face each other in a double-elimination bracket format (BO7).

It is expected that the final will be held on 17th September. Moreover, WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv will host the tournament broadcast in English language.

 The Lead Esports Manager at WePlay Esports, Anton Tokarev, also commented: “ We’ve organized, at WePlay Esports, many major events and we have finally a chance to perform in Rocket League again. It is a special title with a passionate and unique community behind it, and it is intolerable to wait and show our capability.

The names of all the teams participating in the event are Semper Esports, Team BDS, Spacestation Gaming, G2 Esports, Susquehanna Soniqs, Shopify Rebellion, Karmine Corp, Team EnVy, The General NRG, Sandrock Gaming, Team vitality, Vodafone Giants, FaZe Clan, Rogue, and Dignitas.
