Super Smash Bros 5.0 update – Here’s all the details

Banjo-Kazooie, the Super Smash Bros’ home run contest and several gameplay modifications. Ultimate for players are now live.

Now the 5.0 update is out, which includes all the fresh contents and positive things to keep players going comfortably.

The Home Run Contest mode is supported by up to four people in the Games & More display. In this mode, too, special movements will work somewhat differently.

New spirits are also accessible in the Vault, depending on Banjo-Kazooie personalities.

Moves to Mii Fighters can be altered by downloading them from the shared product folder, but only by downloading them after update 5.0.

General Banjo and Kazooie together with the Spiral Mountain Stage, all music for Fighters Pass holders can now be purchased or downloaded.

Everybody is accessible as Mii Fighter Costumes, Team Rocket Sans, Goemon, Proto Man and Zero. Each costume can be purchased at $0.75 in the eShop. But you can not create replays or videos that have that personality if you do not possess any DLC contents.

Previously, if you were in the air and held the shield button and input left, right, or down, and then continued to hold the shield button until you landed, you would dodge in the direction input upon landing.

Hero’s Snooze will no longer prevent Luma from being controlled, similar to other instances of sleep.


Adjusted the time it takes to move again to match other fighters when bouncing while lying facedown.


After Kafrizz hits a fighter or the stage and explodes, it can now be guarded against with a shield, reflected, or absorbed. (Neutral B)


Increased the number of time opponents will be in the damage animation when hit at the beginning of Magic Burst. (Down B)


Adjusted the time it takes to move again to match other fighters when bouncing while lying facedown.

A nerf was also given to the Smash Ball item, rendering it lighter and simpler to reach. So have enjoyed fighting it out with your players with all those unique products on.

The modifications introduced personalities that may affect major competitors using Peach and Joker, but generally, the modifications seem pretty balanced without nerfing anybody strongly.
