Eleague CS: GO Invitational.
The Eleague CS: GO Invitational will take place in January across a three day period. It has a prize pool of $150,000 and will feature four Counter-Strike teams. The teams have been carefully chosen after taking into account team’s availability just before the IEM Katowice Major 2019.
The four teams that will be in attendance at the Eleague CS: GO Invitational 2019 are:
- Faze Clan
- BIG Gaming
The tournament will feature these four teams competing in a Best of Three Double elimination format series. The list of teams includes two teams from Europe while two remain from North America. The lack of top tier teams in this edition of the vent might be due to its proximity to the upcoming IEM Katowice 2019 Major. While the event takes place over the course of three days, the studio itself will be open to the public only on the last two days.
Being the last tournament before the Major, this event will provide an insight into the teams’ performances.
Fejtz and Truth sign for BTRG.
While there were initial rumours that Friberg might be the player joining BTRG; it is actually two other players who are moving to China. Kristjan “fejtZ” Allsaar and Erik “truth” Hansen Dyrnes will be joining BTRG for the upcoming season. Fejtz has experience playing on Chinese teams. He has been a stand-in for several Chinese teams in the past. His past experience makes him a prime candidate for his future in the Chinese region.

While CS: GO has not been a popular sport in China, recently we are seeing Chinese and Asian teams rise to the occasion. Teams such as Flash Gaming and Tyloo are making their presence felt in the International scene.
BTRG is yet to announce the remainder of their roster. For now, they only have two players on their payroll and we expect more news to come out very soon.
