Team Liquid parts ways with Heen, pull out of Dreamleague Minor; NIP extend partnership with Betway.

Team Liquid will no longer be a part of the Dreamleague Minor. With this announcement, we will not see Team Liquid at the First Dota 2 Major of the DPC Season. The former TI winners will not attend the Dota 2 Minor due to health-related issues.

Heen has been with Team Liquid for almost two years now. His presence on the team and its practice were crucial for the success of the roster over the past two years. Team Liquid won The International 2017 and reached the Top 4 position in 2018. Throughout the year, Team Liquid has been one of the most dominant Dota 2 rosters in the DPC season.

Heen is presently serving in the military as is mandatory in South Korea. There has been no announcement of Henn’s future or whether he intends to continue in esports at all. Meanwhile Team Liquid will announce a replacement very soon.

Team Liquid will no longer be a part of the Dreamleague Minor

One of the biggest surprises of the 2018-19 season was Team Liquid’s inability to qualify for the Kuala Lumpur Major. Since there are fewer Majors and Minors in the current DPC Season, it means that every event carries more weight. However, it was not a big shock since Team Liquid should still have been able to win the Minor and secure a spot at the Major.

The Dreamleague Dota 2 Minor will start from 29th October and continue till 4th of November 2018. With Team Liquid’s decision to withdraw from the tournament, Dreamleague has been quick to find a replacement. Team Lithium will replace Team Liquid at the event.

NIP extends partnership with Betway
