BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen full team lineup finalized

Earlier today, organizers of the BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen event have revealed the final team to compete in the tournament and with this news, the full lineup is known.

BLAST Pro Series:Copenhagen Overview

Following the Istanbul tournament, the BLAST Pro Series moves to Copenhagen, Denmark to present European audiences with something worth watching. The Copenhagen event will feature six of the best CS:GO teams in the world, competing for a piece of the $250,000 prize pool. The winner of the tournament will get to take home $125,000, with the rest being spit the other contestants.

The tournament will come in three different stages. The Group Stage is first and all teams will face off against each other in the Round Robin style. During this stage, all matches will be best-of-one and the top two teams will advance to the Grand Final.

The Grand Final is the last stage of the tournament and it will feature the top two teams of the group stage engaging in a best-of-three match to determine the winner.

The BLAST Pro Standoff is a unique little feature of the BLAST Pro Series. The team that place third will get to choose another team (from those below them in the ranks) to compete in five 1v1 duels. The winner of the Standoff will bring in $20,000 in prize money, separate from the standard prizes.

Participants

The Copenhagen event will be attended by the following teams:

  • Astralis
  • Cloud9
  • FaZe Clan
  • MIBR
  • Natus Vincere
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

Four of these teams competed in the Istanbul event, which took place in late September. NaVi and FaZe Clan will make their first appearance in this Series. The Istanbul tournament was won by Astralis, following a tense best-of-three against MIBR. The Danish team did not drop a single map during the Group stage and came out with a perfect record of 5 – 0.

As far as the Standoff is concerned, Ninjas in Pyjamas placed third and they, in turn, chose Space Soldiers as their opponents. Unfortunately for Space Soldiers, they suffered a loss in their home country, after NiP players proved to be the better shooters.
