Houston Outlaws Drop KyKy, Philadelphia Fusion announce two co-head coaches.

Houston Outlaws have dropped their Head Coach KyKY ahead of the upcoming player signing period. The announcement did come as a shock to many in the community as KyKy had done a very good job with the team in Season 1. Previously the Head Coach on Dallas Fuel, Kyky took most of the blame for the team’s poor performances and lack of synergy.

In his tweet, Kyle mentions that he turned down several job offers in the past in order to stay loyal to Houston Outlaws. But this latest news definitely comes as a shock to the coach. He is now a free agent and is open to various job offerings.

 

The Overwatch league will see the addition of eight new teams in the current season. The new teams are spread out through the world including multiple franchises from China.

Optic gaming, the parent organisation of Houston Outlaws is seeing a lot of restructuring in the upper management. This has also adversely impacted their performance throughout the esports scene. They recently dropped their League of Legends GM and are now making changes to their Overwatch team franchise.

According to Dustin Steiner, there is not a lot of good news coming from the Optic camp. This could spell more negative news coming out from Houston Outlaws in the near future.

Overwatch League Franchise Philadelphia Fusion has announced two new head coaches for their team. Joining the Fusion will be Hayez and NamedHwi,

The two coaches have been involved with the team since the past year. While Kirby was the head coach for the previous year, there has been no information about what happened to his position within the organisation.

Having two coaches is a really interesting approach to an overwatch League team. Most of the teams prefer a singular head coach who can make the calls whenever needed. However, the familiarity of the two coaches have worked alongside each other for more than a year will come in handy in the future.
