Florida Mayhem add ‘Bearhands’ as their head scout, Leaf now a free agent.

Florida Mayhem is looking to rebuild their Overwatch League roster. Their latest addition of Scott “BEARHANDS” Tester is definitely a step in the right direction. Bearhands brings with him a lot of experience having helped New York Excelsior dominate Season 1. He was instrumental in choosing and forming the final team for New York Excelsior. He joins the Florida Mayhem as the Assistant General Manager and Head of Scouting.

“I’m really excited to join the Florida Mayhem for Season 2 of the Overwatch League,” says Scott. “I’m eager to learn from an established esports organization that has a long history in Overwatch. Looking forward to working with Mayhem and contributing my insight and experience wherever I can.”

Since his time on NYXL, Bearhands has been involved in Team USA. His familiarity with the North American players and talent makes him a prime addition to the Florida Mayhem team. For most of the first season, Florida Mayhem was considered to be the second weakest team in the League. They were above Shanghai Dragons, but they lacked synergy and coordination on their roster. This resulted in the team being unable to make it past the other OWL teams.

“I look forward to working with an individual as experienced as Scott. I am confident that with Scott’s insight we can build a long term structure for success with Mayhem and Mayhem Academy” said GM, Matthew Akhavan.

Bearhands will be responsible for scouting players for both Florida mayhem as well as Mayhem Academy. You can find more information about Florida Mayhem’s roster acquisitions on the Overwatch league website.

Lucas ‘Leaf’ Loison is now a free agent.

Eagle Gaming won Contenders Europe after defeating Angry Titans 4-1 in the Grand finals. The splendid performance by the team surprised several analysts as many expected the finals to be much closer than it was. Regardless Leaf had a huge role to play in their journey to winning the Contenders Europe.

Lucas ‘Leaf’ Loison mostly plays as the DPS role on the team. He is most well-known for his Genji and Doomfist plays. His tweet does not mention anything else other than the termination of his contract. The Paris Overwatch team is looking forth to form a strong roster comprising of several French players as well as others.

Leaf’s timing with the announcement comes just a few days before the start of Blizzcon. We hope to expect some news about his inclusion into the Paris Franchise during Blizzcon 2018.
