Optic Gaming has announced their departure from the competitive Halo scene. The esports section of Halo never really took off with only around 10000 viewers for their tournaments. Despite featuring decent prize pools especially in the form of the $1,000,000 World Championship; Halo was never really viewed as a top esports title. Optic Gaming was on of the more successful Halo teams and their departure from the scene definitely put a dampener in the future of the game.
Just to keep it simple and keep people in the loop. Our team and the new OpTic couldn't come to an agreement.
Thank you to Hecz for the opportunity,
all of the OG members for taking us in like family,
and to the #GreenWall for accepting us as your halo team
