ESL Premiership expands to ten teams, prize pool increases to $16600

The ESL Premiership has undergone some changes and will expand to ten teams. The prize pool for the tournament also has increased to $16600.

The number of teams was initially eight but has since been changed to ten. ESL has decided to change the format of the league, which will begin with two groups of five teams, who will battle it out in a best-of-one round robin stage. The Premiership will start on February 19th.

Endpoint won the last edition of the ESL Premiership, which culminated with an offline event in September as part of the EGX trade fair, in Birmingham, taking home the bulk of the league’s ~$13,800 prize fund and a spot in ESEA MDL.
