A few days ago SK gaming announced that they will be making changes to their CSGO roster. They let go of FNX. FNX on his part has joined Team Immortals.
Immortals were a bit late in making the announcement but as of today it has been updated on their website.
After playing with Lincoln “fnx” Lau during the IEM Katowice qualifiers, Immortals is pleased to announce that he is officially joining our CS:GO team, with João “felps” Vasconcellos heading to SK Gaming in exchange. We’d like to thank felps for his time on the team, and we wish him nothing but the best for his future. We’re excited to work with fnx in the coming days.
“Bringing fnx to Immortals represents our commitment to building teams, not just groups of individual players.” says CEO Noah Whinston. “With a long history playing alongside brothers Hen1 and Lucas1, Lincoln has slotted easily into our roster with in-game chemistry from day one. We’re excited to keep working with the young and talented core of the Immortals roster, helping to push them to even greater competitive heights.”
At 27, fnx is the oldest member of the roster, and has a long history of competitive CS:GO under his belt. With over a decade of experience and pre-existing synergy with the Immortals roster, he fits in perfectly to create a sharper, well-rounded, and more lethal squad.
Immortals has been steadily improving over the past months, with the pickup of in game leader Lucas “steel” Lopes. The team fell just short of qualifying for the ELEAGUE Major against G2 Esports, but moved onto qualify for IEM Katowice.
The team is extremely motivated with their new roster. There seems to be a balance between their strategic style of Gameplay and the raw aim of the players. We will see in their upcoming matches if they can make it work or not.
