ESPN to broadcast FIFA Ultimate Team Championship Series

ESPN´s flagship channel will be hosting FIFA ultimate Team Championship Series for the first time. This will be the first ever esports tournament to be hosted on the flagship channel.

The tournament will not be live cast, which migh actually hamper the number of viewers on the tournament. They will be delayed for 24 hours. This might be due to the existing streaming deals that FIFA has with twitch and youtube.

ESPN 2 will be live casting future events from next year. FIFA has always been one of the first esports events to be taken note by the media community. FIFA is easier to understand for most viewers and the traditional viewer base stays the same. While other esports have a dedicated community, FIFA is much easier to follow for an uninitiated person
