WESA partners with Youtube for 2017

WESA (World Esports Association) is the result of joint efforts between industry-leading professional esports teams and ESL, the world’s largest esports company. Based on similar traditional sports associations, WESA is an open and inclusive organization that will further professionalize esports by introducing elements of player representation, standardized regulations, and revenue shares for teams. WESA will seek to create predictable schedules for fans, players, organizers and broadcasters, and for the first time bring all stakeholders to the discussion table.

 WESAś has been at the center of the NA CSGO scene after PEA was removed by community voting. The WESA organisation comprises of many EU CSGO scene. The participating members are :

WESA’s mission is to become the global benchmark for industry-wide standards through that framework, involved parties and activities of the Association. Starting with the ESL Pro League for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, WESA will be the first organization in the history of esports that will bring those affected by its decision most, to the decision making table. Transparency towards Teams and Players, as well as a continuous support to them are at the heart of the Association.

WESA have now announced an exclusive streaming deal with Youtube Gaming. This deal puts them out of favor with the industry favorites Twitch. This is a big step for Youtube as they are emerging as a fast favorite platform for livestreamers around the world. With twitch facing lag issues and giving preferential treatment to high viewership streamers, we are seeing a slow rise in the number of viewers and casters in Youtube
