2016 ended on a sour note for the CSGO community with TSM roster being in the midst of a controversy raised late in 2016. With PEA , the professional eSports association threatening to execute their exclusivity clause it has divided the CSGO community in two halves. There is a section that supports the owners as they strive for viability. However there is also a section that sides with the players and fights for their rights to choose which tournaments they wish to participate in.
TSM owner Reginald had dismissed Sean Gares from the TSM roster as he raised his voice in support of players rights. He had been represented by SirScoots, however Reginald decided to pursue the matter with Reginald instead of speaking to his representative. In the end following a breakdown of communication Reginald decided to let go of Sean Gares without any buyout clause.
The remaining players have now announced they will be forming a team with Sean Gares and announce their departure from the TSM CSGO Roster. Their departure leaves TSM red faced as Reginald had claimed the remaining players were with him and had no qualms about being told which tournaments to play in.
