LOL Continental League to be moved offline

The LOL Continental League is a tournament for the Russian/CIS region. This league takes over the StarLadder Series and will follow the same rules/format as the EU/NA LCS.

According to rumors the 2017 edition of the LOL Continental League will have a few changes in its format. According to Cybersport.ru, the matches of the LCL will be moved to an offline format. This information was first leaked on the Facebook page of NaVi player, Sebastian “niq” Roebuck.

According to the post the initial Group stage matches will be played online. However the subsequent matches of the LCL will be played offline at Moscow. Players will move to Moscow for a period of three months and will compete in the offline finals.

This has not been confirmed yet, however in an interview earlier in the year Riot Games eSports CIS Andrey Korshunov had hinted at the tournament going offline.
