Counter Strike in 2016 was all about the Brazilians. We have SK gaming, former Luminosity Gaming who had been dominating the scene for most of the year win 2 Major titles. Immortals have been upswing in their performance in NA.
Following the sudden rise in the Brazilian CSGO scene, there has been a correction recently. Several organisations are slowly correcting their contracts / team rosters.
Last week saw the announcement by G3x :
“CS:GO was a high investment compared to the return we had,” Alexandre “Gaules” Borba, owner of G3X said. “National companies, in general, are not interested in making investments in CS:GO“.
CNB have been one of the dominant organisations in Brazilian CSGO. They have however decided to part ways with the roster. The reason given behind this decision is the instability in the Brazilian CSGO scene. Hidden underneath the fairy tale success of SK and Immortals, there has been disruption in the CSGO scene in Brazil. It is getting difficult to get investments from national companies and other organisations into these eSports organisations.
